Reading Together

Circle Time

All instruction is provided through stories, songs/poems, rhyming, movement and calendar presentation.

English 

Some of the skills we focus on are: 

  • Letter Recognition and Formation

  • Phonics and Grammar

  • Name recognition

  •  Emergent reading and writing skills

 (labeling pictures and symbols) ​

  • Communication age-appropriately

We focus on: 

  • Number recognition and one-to-one correspondence 0-20

  • Colors 

  • Shapes 

  • Positioning Words 

Motor Skills & Development

Everyday we: 

  • Proper grip of writing utensils

  • Write letters & numbers

  • Age-appropriate control and movement of body

  • 30-minutes of recess per day (outside, or inside if weather/air quality dictates)

  • PE class five days per week
